I look forward to more books by the author in the coming year. The main character is an econometrician who’s favorite activity is crunching data- but aside from that, it’s pure contemporary romance. Bad with relationships, especially the sexual aspect of. I highly recommend this book but I advise you read with caution as it contains some triggers especially around loss and illness. The Kiss Quotient follows Stella Lane, a 30-year-old woman with Aspergers, and Michael, a 28-year-old man with a father he wants to hide.

This author has done so well with this entire series by using fiction to educate others about autism which is not a common practice. There were also many lessons to learn from Anna’s story especially the need to accept the fact that you are different and the importance of standing up for yourself. As usual, a male protagonist who knows what he wants and goes straight to the point always wins my heart. Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses but to crave all of the other things hes making her feel. Her career is going brilliantly, she loves her job and makes plenty. Thirty-year-old Stella Lane is under a bit of pressure. Both protagonists, Anna and Quan were so relatable and easily likable. The Kiss Quotient is the first novel by American author, Helen Hoang. I was expecting something different or rather something not as heavy it turned out to be but boyyyy it was good. As usual, Helen Hoang took this autism themed story to another level by including sub-themes such as insecurity in relationships, toxic family relationships, illness, loss, self-discovery, love and acceptance. The romance between Stella and Michael extends beyond the bedroom into an endearing, unintentional relationship. This was another compelling and unputdownable book by this author. The Kiss Quotient Final Recommendation Overall, I highly recommend The Kiss Quotient for anyone who loves romance novels and doesn’t mind more intimate scenes.
